Materials: self-care charts
Procedure:

Ask students what they think self-care means and give definition

Group discussion about why self-care is important and give examples

Complete self-care charts together by section

Students can share if time allows

Practice 2-3 yoga poses and explain how yoga is an example of self-care

Review why self-care is important
Plan for Evaluation:

Process Data: 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classes

Perception Data: Students will be able to give at least 4 examples of how to take care of their minds and at least 4 examples of how to take care of their bodies.

Outcome Data: Students will make healthier choices

Follow Up: For students who continue to make unhealthy choices, individual follow-ups will be made.
