Learning Objective(s):

Students will recognize the emotion of happiness vs. sad, scared, andry, etc.

Students will identify things people do that make them happy

Students will identify things they can do to make other people happy
Materials: emotions/face matching game, feelings song, acts of kindness cards, bucket of beads
Procedure:

Ask students to explain and show what it means to be happy

Watch feelings song video
-
Play emotions/face matching game (students identify happy/sad/scared/angry face)

Discuss examples of what other people do that makes them happy (saying nice things, etc.)

Use acts of kindness cards to discuss things they can do to make others happy (sharing, helping, etc.)

Do an activity (e.g. playing with beads) to demonstrate and practice acts of kindness
